Summary

Governor John Lynch knows how to get the economy moving again. He has used his time in office to expand education opportunities, build the economy with tax credits for research and development, reform the state retirement system and improve access to health care.

Recap

Governor Lynch defeated incumbent Gov. Craig Benson in 2004, and has won with at least 70 percent of the vote in each of his last two reelections. In 2006, Governor Lynch earned 74 percent against Republican Jim Coburn and in 2008 Lynch swept the election again earning 70 percent against Republican Joseph Kenney.
